  1. Soda and Carbonated Beverages. Soda and other carbonated beverages contain gas in them (the carbonation) and thereby add to the build up of gas within your digestive system. Switching to water only will help your eliminate this common cause of bloating and gas, as well as improving your overall health.
  2. Artificial Sweeteners. Common artificial sweeteners are difficult or impossible for your body to break down, and lead to an excess of gas in your system. You may think that drinking diet beverages will help you lose weight due to the fewer calories, however it will cancel itself out with the amount of bloating you will experience.
